Yoplait Kids Yogurt {Review/Giveaway}

Yoplait_Kids_yogurt_Strawberry
There is a lot of talk about kids not getting enough Vitamin D in their diets.  Not drinking enough milk has been one our battles.  Luckily our children love yogurt…especially the girls!
That’s why being given the opportunity to review and have a giveaway through MyBlogSpark with Yoplait Kids Yogurt is very exciting.  We received our “goody” package last week and oldest daughter, Megan, could hardly contain herself!
Our package included a coupon* for any variety of the Yoplait Kids yogurt products, a foldable travel cooler (to take your yogurt on-the-go), a cool four-piece spoon set, a power magnet picture frame, trendy alphabet-shaped “Kiddie Bands”, a great big bounce ball and a “My First Scavenger Hunt” card game for some after-snack fun.

Yoplait Kids Yogurt comes in 3 flavors – Vanilla (Cars/Lightening McQueen packaging), Strawberry (Dora packaging) and Strawberry Banana (Disney Princess packaging.  Megan selected the Strawberry Banana flavor.  And could hardly wait to start eating it!

They all loved the flavor and consistency of the yogurt, as well as the spoons.  The spoons, called “ice cream” spoons, are adorable and come in bright/cute colors.  The kids loved the scavenger hunt game, which is very appropriate for all ages.  Our 3 year olds had no problem finding the items and our 7 year old had a blast with a 10 year old neighbor who was over.

Enjoying A Rare Sunny Day!

The weather around here has been rather cold and gloomy lately so on Friday when it was sunny and mild the kids were itching to get outside and play.

Anna and Ethan have been very cagey lately so out they went.  With the sled having been left outside they decided to use it to their advantage.  And, although most of the show had melted – the managed to find a place to pull the sled…and a little hill to pull it up.

20110225_0001 20110225_0003 20110225_0002 20110225_0005 20110225_0004 20110225_0006

Anna and Ethan took a few minutes out to jump on the trampoline.  And then Anna continued to pull the sled to the other side of the yard on the little patch of snow that still existed.  At one point Ethan decided to come up behind the sled and push the sled while Anna pulled it…he just wanted to help out you know!

It was great for them to be able to get outside – even if it was only for a short time.  The brisk, fresh air was just enough to burn off some of that energy that’s been wanting to burst forth.
We are all looking forward to when we can go outside to enjoy the warmth, while just closing the screen doors and not having to bundle up.  But in the meantime, being able to exert at least a little energy outside will help carry us through.

Have a beautiful day! ♥

Sleeping Arrangement Failed - Check

Our oldest daughter (Megan) has been begging to sleep with her brother and sister. So, tomorrow being a day that Megan is off school (don't remember why)...and since Megan asked again, we agreed.

It was not really an experiment we felt joy in experiencing since we knew in the end it would fail. But sometimes you just need to try it out to just get it off your list. One of those things we won't have a child begging for a while. Actually Megan said not until they are 20!

It started off with Megan in their room. She was in a sleeping bag on the floor. Anna, being the one to delay bed for as long as possible, decided this was going to be the night to come out of the room at least 4 times. Three times to use the potty and once because her blanket fell off while trying to blow her nose.

Anna then decided to move on the floor next to Megan. Well, of course Ethan wanted to sleep on the floor with them as well. It was clear this wasn't going to work...at least not in their room.

Next, Megan decided that they should all move into her room since she has a trundle bed. Megan and Anna were on the top bed, while Ethan had the bottom. Two times Megan tried to lay with Anna, but Anna wouldn't stop talking. Go figure. :-) So switch - Ethan with Megan and Anna on the bottom. Anna then decided to start playing with Megan' pillow. That was the end.

At that point, I had Anna and Ethan move back in their room and Megan sleep in her room. I felt bad for Ethan though since he actually did fall asleep and did REALLY good! Anna was NOT happy about going back to her room, but she got over it.

So Megan said she is done asking...until they're 20. Heaven forbid she really wants to share a room with them at that age!

So in the midst of all this, I was sent some information on signing up for some on-line paid surveys. Of course you get asked to then join all these additional programs. Not knowing what I was doing I think I really over did it!

One of the programs I signed up for is call InboxDollars. Apparently they were featured on Good Morning America. This program has a $30 payout. You earn $5 for signing up and then you earn additional money through surveys, games, shopping, coupons, tasks, special offers, videos and referrals.

You should check it out...it's free to join. :-)

I'm pooped and going to bed...so I can read.

Goodnight everyone. ♥

Achieve Your Dreams

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.
Henry David Thoreau

Often times we get so caught up in life we lose the vision of our dreams.  Are you still striving to make your dreams a reality?  Do you have a plan?

If you've lost site of those dreams, now is the time to dig back in.  Goal planning is a great way to start working toward those dreams.  Start by writing down where you want to be in 5 years from now.  Now what can you do by the end of this year to help you reach that 5 year goal?  Break down that one year goal into monthly goals.  Next daily goals.

Hang up that one year goal in a place that you see it every day - on the refrigerator?  Make sure you stay true to yourself and your dreams.  Striving to reach your goals will make you happy and in turn make your family happy!

Make it a great day! ♥

Tuesday Blog Hops

Is it just me or has anyone else been just feeling tired.  Unfortunately with tiredness comes lack of motivation.  It's been a struggle to keep moving forward lately.  I find reading motivation books or blogs help.

We've had some dreary days here which doesn't help.  Even kids have been tired and grumpy.  I don't think, in recent years, I've been so anxious for sun and warm weather to arrive.

What do you do to keep yourself motivated?

A Fun Day, With A Little Surprise

Today was a rather unplanned eventful day - for my 7 year old.

The day started off rather uneventful.  My husband leaving for a couple hours for the fire department to pick out holiday shifts he will work this year.  While he was gone I tried to get some work done ~ but the kids were not very cooperative with allowing that to happen.

When hubby arrived home I got my work done and then hopped in the shower for some much needed R & R.  Since my twins were born I've had some issues with anxiety attacks and had to go on medication a little over a year ago.  Today I just felt very stressed.

After my shower we took the kids to the library and then our oldest (Megan) asked if we could go to the mall.  There are some play areas there, and although we knew it would be crowded, we couldn't think of a better idea.  When we got there it was way too crowded for the kids to play.  Big kids running over little kids - not good.  We decided to go walk around the mall instead.

We didn't get to far when we started to go past Claire's.  Megan stopped to look at the earrings.  A friend of hers has a pair from there that she wanted to see.  We kept on going and then my husband suggested go in to Von Muar to look around since she likes to look at the earrings in there.  I advised him of her wanting to see her friends earrings in Claire's so we went back there.

Megan has been wanting to get her ears pierced for a long time.  We've been pretty adamant about waiting until she's 8 to get that done.  But we had decided a little while ago that we would allow her to get them pierced in April...an early present for her First Communion.

While at Claire's Megan quickly found a lot of earrings she liked.  So Rob and I decided to let her get them pierced today if she wanted to.  I was getting kind of excited for her and really just wanted it over with!  :-)  Megan said yes and before you knew it she was in the chair.  While she was sitting there, unbeknown to her - there was a rather large crowd of people in the window behind her watching plus those watching in the store.  Part of that crowd was a group of young boys.  Some of them came in to watch - one of them remarking how she was going to cry.  I quickly told him to shhh!

Megan got her eaIMG_3852rs pierced without even flinching.  No tears at all.  When it was done everyone started clapping.  That's when Megan turned around and saw all the boys clapping for her.  They were all actually very cute.  Megan got down from the chair to come over and hug me and was shaking like a leaf.

It was a really nice surprise.  I love it when we can do little unplanned surprises like that which just make her so happy.  She keeps looking in the mirror at them now and will all of sudden exclaim how happy she is and that she can't believe they are pierced.

Weekend Hoping!

Tonight we attended Movie Night at my 7 year old's school.  The movie they showed was Space Jam with Michael Jordan.  We really had a great time.  They had a concession stand set up with popcorn and other snacks along with water and juice.

Up until recently we have avoided doing a lot of events because of the twins and it just being so difficult to take them based on how old they are.  Well, they are finally getting to an age that we are feeling a little more comfortable at venturing out with them.  Not that we've been hermits...but a lot of times it is usually more trouble then it's worth.

On the way home Anna fell sound asleep.  In fact, I laid her on the couch and changed her in to her pull-up and pajama pants without even a murmur from her.  I brought her to her bed, but Ethan still wanted to read a book first.  We read one his favorite Thomas stories and then he actually asked if he could go upstairs to go to bed!

Megan, who never wants to go to bed actually asked to go to bed a short time later.  Too bad they only have this movie night once a year!  It appears to wear all 3 of my kids out!  :-)

While you're here ~ check out my 2 giveaways...CSN $35 gift card and ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror.

ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror {Review & Giveaway} {US & Canada}

I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to review the ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror.  I was actually really happy for my husband who has to shave in the shower or else he has problems with razor burn.  The "fogless" mirror I had bought for him a couple Christmas' ago was never actually fogless.  Plus we could never get it to stick to the wall.

I love the fact that this mirror really is fogless.  To prevent fogging you need fill the mirrors reservoir with hot water.  Also, since we mounted the mirror 5 days ago we've had no problems with it coming down.  The adhesive is a silicone glue which is very durable, I can't imagine it going anywhere.

My husband enjoys being able to shave in the shower without having to fight a fogging issue or trying to balance the mirror since it won't stick.  And I am really excited for me with this mirror!  I never really imagined I would use a mirror in the shower, but with its handy little shelf it's great to put tweezers and razors on.  I really like that I can remove my mascara in the shower and know that it really is all gone!  Also, it's great to use for exfoliating.

The frame with the mirror moves at different angles, which is very convenient for multiple users.  The mirror itself is shatter proof and rust proof.  It also comes with a self-stored squeegee for wiping off water droplets.

This fogless mirror is currently available for $29.95 on Amazon in both the US & Canada. A great gift to keep in mind for a birthday or Father's Day. :-)

I am honored though to be able to offer the ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror as a giveaway to one of my readers!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day today. <3

Today wasn't much different then any other day for me here.  My husband, who worked at the Fire Department all weekend, got home this morning and then had to leave a couple hours later for his full-time job.  He ended up having to be there all day for some training and meetings.

I spent the day with Anna and Ethan...and doing our taxes.  That would probably explain my all day migraine.  This afternoon when I had emailed my husband if he had an idea of when he'd be home, I felt like my head was going to explode.  Anna and Ethan were, for whatever reason, very argumentative with each other today.  Of course, they did not get quite get that today is actually the day for love.

Megan made some adorable Valentine's today at school for me...which I loved very much.  She was so excited about it being Valentine's Day today.  She really wanted her present before school today, I think she was expecting something much larger then what she got.  She really wants one of those mini Pillow Pets.  I did warn tell her this isn't one of those holidays, it's small stuff.  I got her, Anna and Ethan a very large heart shaped lollipop - cotton candy flavored & a small heart box of chocolate.  I also got Megan a pair of children's slipper socks.  The Mary Jane one's they sell at Target.
IMG_3850
I live in my slipper socks all winter long since my feet are always cold.  Megan had seen a pair a while ago which we did get for her, but it turned out they were for adults.  So, I was very excited when I saw the children's slipper socks - and she loves them!  She really enjoyed her gifts (as did A & E).

Rob (husband) emailed me on the way home and asked if we should get a heart-shaped pizza for dinner.  I said heck yeah!  So we got heart-shaped pizza and had a good night.  All-in-all, it was a very nice day - despite my nasty migraine.

IMG_3849I am just so incredible grateful for such an awesome family.  I’m a very lucky mom with 3 wonderful children and an incredible husband.
