HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

A New Year...another new blog theme!  :-)  Actually, I figured the Christmas one was going to get out-dated very quickly.  Love, love, love the free themes at http://silversdesigns.blogspot.com/.  I can't believe she does not charge for these designs, and she has a TON!

Wow, 2011 - Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a happy and safe new year celebration.  Ours was very nice.  We spent the better part of the afternoon and evening at my sisters with her, my brother-in-law, and my 3 nephews.  We got Chinese carry-out which was delicious.  Originally we were getting food from Panda Express, but they were closing about 5 minutes before my husband and brother-in-law arrived to order food.  We did end up finding a place that was open - but it was a little more challenging then we had anticipated!

Every year we usually go to my mom's house to have Christmas there, usually the week after surgery, but because my sister has surgery scheduled tomorrow she brought all the presents to my sister's last night.  The kids had an awesome time opening presents (again) and they all had a great time playing together.

We got home around 10 pm'ish and immediately got the kids to bed.  My husband and I then spent the rest of the evening quietly together.  This is the first New Year's Eve he's been home with me in years!  He is always working at the Fire Department, but since he is still out because of his broken toe I got to actually bring in the New Year with him!

New Year's is, of course, the time for resolutions.  I've been really contemplating this year.  I don't really think I have any "new" one's to add, but really just trying to continue to work on the things I've focused on in 2010.   So here are my resolutions for 2011:
  • To continue my work on self-control and patience.
  • To take a couple minutes for "me" each day.
  • To read every day (I LOVE reading and, after my 1st was born, I stopped making the time to do it.).
  • To finish the Bible by the end of 2011.  (I started in October 2010)
  • To work on "business building" activities every day.
  • To advance in my business.
  • To be better at maintaining, and KEEPING a household budget.
Okay, so I did add a couple...but they are already things I've been working on - just hadn't made the actual verbal commitment.  :-)

So today - starting of the New Year's still in my jammies (in fact everyone except my husband is still in jammies), enjoying the day with my husband and children.  I hope everyone has a relaxing day and really a year without stress.  Wouldn't that be nice?  :-)
