Nature's Hand Granola {Review}

I am addicted to eating yogurt with granola every morning, that's why I was very excited when I was approached by Nature's Hand to review their newly formulated granola products.

Nature's Hand has been around for 40 years with their granola products.  While many granola products are loaded with preservatives, sugar, sodium or trans fats, Nature's Hand decided to go back to the drawing board and reintroduce their granola products as all-natural.  Meaning, it only uses only premium all-natural ingredients like soy oil, which is full of fiber, protein and antioxidants.  Plus it is low in sugar and contains no artificial colors or flavors, preservatives, cholesterol, trans fats or sodium.

I tend to eat foods that are either organic or natural and low in sugar.  Granola can be very high in sugar content, so looking for one that is great tasting and low in sugar can be quite the challenge.  So having the opportunity to try Nature's Hand was an added bonus.  They were nice enough to send me two of my favorite varieties of granola, I chose Wild Blueberry and French Vanilla Almond.

I was was very impressed with taste of Nature's Hand granola.  Of the two, Wild Blueberry was definitely my favorite.  Not to say the French Vanilla Almond was not delicious too ~ but I'm a huge blueberry fan!  My youngest daughter loves the granola as well and eats it right of the bag or in a bowl by itself.

Nature's Hand comes in a variety of flavors besides Wild Blueberry and French Vanilla Almond, it comes in Original Vanilla Almond, Cranberry Delight, Raisin Hazelnut, Cinnamon Apple, and Maple Pecan.  Also, it is very reasonably priced at $4.99.  For more information, or to take advantage of their special offers they run every now and then, visit their website at Nature's Hand or like the on Facebook.

A big thank you to Nature's Hand  for making this review possible. Although I did receive a a couple bags of thier granola,,  all opinions shared are 100% mine and honest.

Mat Kearney "Young Love" {Review}

I have 3 young children - my oldest is 8, and then I have the 3 year old twins. We have been fully ensconced in music by the Wiggles, Laurie Berkner and Ralph for so many years that I don't even know what is "popular" any more!

One of my goals is to start introducing my children to more varieties of music, I have been rather weary of this given some of the language and content of many popular songs these days.  Since my oldest does know of the popular songs and does hear them through school/friends, I feel I need to know what she's listening to and get to know the different artists for both of our sakes.

Having an opportunity, through One2One Network, to review Mat Kearney's Young Love could not have come at a better time.  I have to say that not only do I love this CD but my kids do too!  My 3 year old's especially love this CD (they tend to want to hear something they like over and over again), my 8 year old is getting a little worn out from it but still engages in the music when it is on.

The songs have a great beat, #1 Hey Mama, #2 Ships In The Night and #5 Chasing The Light are the real popular sections my children and I enjoy - although I don't think there is a bad song on the CD.  All my kids clap to the first song and all know and sing the words to the rest.

There are little snippets of the songs you can listen to and purchase at Mat Keaney's iTunes site.  Also, if you go the Mat Kearney's Facebook page you can see the video for Hey Mama!  Also, feel free to visit Mat Kearney's website for even more information - including locations and dates of where he will be playing live.

A big thank you to One2One Network for making this review possible. Although I did receive a copy of the CD Mat Kearney Young Love and all opinions shared are 100% mine and honest.

Looking For Stylish, Affordable Glass Frames?

Recently I was introduced to the site Zenni Optical. Zenni Optical offers affordable eyeglasses that come in a huge variety of styles and colors. Their prescription eyeglasses are available for men, women and children, with prescriptions for single vision, bifocal and progressive lenses.

Up until about a year ago I was pretty much an exclusive contact lens wearer. I only wore my glasses in the evening and had always found glasses to be rather uncomfortable. Then I started experiencing extreme dryness in my eyes. I tried several different types of eye drops for dryness and nothing really resolved the uncomfortableness. I was still trying to wear my contact lens only to find that within an hour my contact lens felt as though it was glued to my eye. Once I peeled the contact lens from my eye, it would take just about all day for my eye to recover.

At that point, I decided the discomfort was not worth it and I started wearing glasses exclusively.  Eye glasses have come a long was in the last few years. They are so much more trendy and comfortable. They also come with a much higher price tag.

Zenni Optical has received very positive press coverage. The article 3-On Your Side: Eyeglasses Online For Cheap, really focuses on the significant savings you can get from purchasing your eyeglasses through Zenni Optical. Their frames average price are between $6.95 and $45.95 a pair. The average price I see at my Optometrist is ~$175!

Also, with Zenni Optical's website - it is super easy to maneuver through!  You can narrow your search to gender, type of prescription, style of frame, color, and much, much more.  You also have options for full UV protection, anti-glare coating, sunglass tinting, and free anti-scratch coating.

I just bought new eye glasses this year (~$400!).  Next time I need to new glasses, I will be definitely heading over to Zenni Optical.  Right now all my frames are plastic...but I do want a pair of wire frames at some point!

As with most people, I am always looking to save money where ever and whenever possible, with good quality products.  Next time you need to purchase new eye glasses, make sure you visit Zenni Optical!

Although I did receive payment from SponsoredReviews.com for this review, the opinions are all mine.

Storkie Express, Inc. {Review}

I Love Storkie Invitations I am so excited to have been offered the opportunity to review Storkie Express, Inc, which was made possible through Mom Spark Media!  If you don't know of Storkie Express, they make fabulous invitations and announcements for all occasions.

Every year we hold a pool party for my oldest daughter's birthday at a local pool we belong too.  The problem is that I am always late on getting the invitations out since just prior to her birthday we always just coming back from our family vacation.  It seems that before vacation I am so busy getting all the packing done for 5 people that I forget to get the invitations out.  Then I'm usually sending out a quick email to everyone while we are gone!

Thanks to this awesome opportunity - I was able to get the birthday invitations done early!  Storkie Express offered an amazing selection of invitations to choose from.  I chose the perfect design for a pool party!  The invitations also came with envelopes that I had printed with with our return address. They also have a matching birthday thank you cards.

Summer is the time when a lot of parties start creeping up on people.  Keep Storkie Express in mind for your looking for graduation invitations or baby shower invitations.  They even have beautiful wedding invitations, along with all the fillers that come with those.

Storkie Express is a wonderful company to work with.  The cards are very easy to design, the order was processed immediately and the invitations were shipped the next day.  All of their prices are extremely reasonable, especially given the quality of the finished product.  The quality of the paperstock, envelopes and print are exceptional.

I would highly recommend Storkie Express, Inc. for all your invitations and announcements.

A big thank you to Storkie Express Inc. for providing product samples. This product review was made possible by Mom Spark Media. I was not compensated for this review and all opinions shared are 100% mine and honest.

Yoplait_Kids_yogurt_Strawberry
There is a lot of talk about kids not getting enough Vitamin D in their diets.  Not drinking enough milk has been one our battles.  Luckily our children love yogurt…especially the girls!
That’s why being given the opportunity to review and have a giveaway through MyBlogSpark with Yoplait Kids Yogurt is very exciting.  We received our “goody” package last week and oldest daughter, Megan, could hardly contain herself!
Our package included a coupon* for any variety of the Yoplait Kids yogurt products, a foldable travel cooler (to take your yogurt on-the-go), a cool four-piece spoon set, a power magnet picture frame, trendy alphabet-shaped “Kiddie Bands”, a great big bounce ball and a “My First Scavenger Hunt” card game for some after-snack fun.

Yoplait Kids Yogurt comes in 3 flavors – Vanilla (Cars/Lightening McQueen packaging), Strawberry (Dora packaging) and Strawberry Banana (Disney Princess packaging.  Megan selected the Strawberry Banana flavor.  And could hardly wait to start eating it!

They all loved the flavor and consistency of the yogurt, as well as the spoons.  The spoons, called “ice cream” spoons, are adorable and come in bright/cute colors.  The kids loved the scavenger hunt game, which is very appropriate for all ages.  Our 3 year olds had no problem finding the items and our 7 year old had a blast with a 10 year old neighbor who was over.

ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror {Review & Giveaway} {US & Canada}

I am so excited to have been given the opportunity to review the ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror.  I was actually really happy for my husband who has to shave in the shower or else he has problems with razor burn.  The "fogless" mirror I had bought for him a couple Christmas' ago was never actually fogless.  Plus we could never get it to stick to the wall.

I love the fact that this mirror really is fogless.  To prevent fogging you need fill the mirrors reservoir with hot water.  Also, since we mounted the mirror 5 days ago we've had no problems with it coming down.  The adhesive is a silicone glue which is very durable, I can't imagine it going anywhere.

My husband enjoys being able to shave in the shower without having to fight a fogging issue or trying to balance the mirror since it won't stick.  And I am really excited for me with this mirror!  I never really imagined I would use a mirror in the shower, but with its handy little shelf it's great to put tweezers and razors on.  I really like that I can remove my mascara in the shower and know that it really is all gone!  Also, it's great to use for exfoliating.

The frame with the mirror moves at different angles, which is very convenient for multiple users.  The mirror itself is shatter proof and rust proof.  It also comes with a self-stored squeegee for wiping off water droplets.

This fogless mirror is currently available for $29.95 on Amazon in both the US & Canada. A great gift to keep in mind for a birthday or Father's Day. :-)

I am honored though to be able to offer the ToiletTree Fogless Shower Mirror as a giveaway to one of my readers!

To Enter to Win:  You must go to ToiletTree's site and tell me what your favorite is your favorite feature of this mirror.

Extra Entries (available after the mandatory entry above is completed; please leave a separate comment for each entry in order for them to be counted).

Doozy E-cards {Review & Giveaway}

It's February, and you know that that means Valentine's Day is coming up quickly! Actually there are several "holidays" ahead of us - St. Patrick's Day, Easter (for those who celebrate), Mother's Day, (my birthday), I mean Memorial Day, ...etc.

Besides all the gifts of candy, jewelry and flowers - cards are always a traditional gift for any holiday. It's even just a great way to tell someone you are thinking of them.

Doozycards offers an incredible selection of electronic cards for any and all occasions. Whether you just want to tell someone you are thinking of them, say Happy Birthday, or say I Love You - they have it all. Doozycards creates all their own animations and in a variety of styles, such as the cute sentimental cards like Valentine Puppies and funny cards like Hot Kisses.

I have so many friends and family that have moved away from the area, and unfortunately life gets busy and goes by way too fast.  When I don't have time to call or send a long winded email - I love the ability to send an E-card with a really nice message on it just to say hi.

The president of Doozy cards is a dynamic woman and mother of 3 boys, and when you sign up for a Premier Membership a portion of the proceeds go to St. Vincent Meals on Wheels to feed homebound elders. So the company itself is charitable and, I think, shows a lot of compassion.

Normally there is a $19.95 Premier Membership fee, but Doozycards has been generous enough to offer 2 of my readers a one year Premier Membership for free.  Once you are a member and logged on to their website you can set up reminders for yourself for upcoming birthdays, anniversary's, or special occasions.

So here are the details on how to enter the giveaway - 2 people will receive a one year Premier Membership for free!

To Enter to Win:  You must go to Doozycard's site and tell me what your favorite e-card is.

Extra Entries (available after the mandatory entry above is completed; please leave a separate comment for each entry in order for them to be counted).

CMT's "Working Class" Review

It has been a long time since I've seen a TV show that is just a good, clean family-oriented show.  Through One2One Network I was given the opportunity to review the series premiere of CMT's very first scripted sitcom "Working Class" starring TV veteran Melissa Peterman ("Reba") and Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Ed Asner.  The premiere will air on January 28 at 8 pm EST/PST, followed by a second, all-new episode at 8:30 pm.

I thoroughly enjoyed this show!  It just reminded of the good, cute shows that were on when I grew up - not about crime investigation, a hospital, or a reality show.  Not that I honestly don't enjoy some of those shows, but there are just so many of them now.  It seems that I was just talking to someone about this recently - the shows that are on today are so different then those that I grew up with - "Happy Days", "LaVerne and Shirley"...well you get the point.  When you have kids who are getting to the stage of watching a little older TV, I've found there is not a whole out there that I find appropriate.  I would definitely recommend watching this show.

The Premiere episode, "The Buddy System" is the episode I had the opportunity to review which was about Carli's (Melissa Peterman) old flame from high school showing up, looking better then ever, hoping to re-ignite a spark with Carli - which gets a little humiliating at her place of work.  Ed Asner's role is a co-worker of Carli's.  A lot of comedy - and really just clean fun.

I really enjoyed seeing Ed Asner again, and yes I was a Mary Tyler Moore Show fan.  :-)

Make sure you tune in on CMT on January 28th to see the double feature premiere of "Working Class" at 8 pm EST/PST, I honestly don't think you will be disappointed.

Thank you One2One Network and Pair Savvy for giving me the opportunity to review this awesome App! :)

So do you like cheese...I mean REALLY like cheese?? Do you enjoy eating cheese and crackers with a cold or room temperature beverage like beer or wine? Ever wondered what cheese would go best with your favorite beverage? Well, Pair Savvy has now done all the work for you!

Thanks to the new App Pair Savvy the guess work has been taken care of for you. Put in your choice of beer or wine and the application will tell which cheese goes best with that drink. You can search by cheese, beer or wine. California cheese makers make more than 250 varieties and styles of Real California Cheese, everything from bandage wrapped Cheddar to award-winning Brie.

Some pairings even suggest fruit accompaniments, which is great when putting together a cheese plate or display. Users can also save pairings and rate the pairings they have tried. There’s even a “Surprise Pairing” option for the more daring at heart.

To add this App to your Android - just go to the Android Marketplace and search "Pair Savvy" then download for free.

To add this App to your IPhone - visit the App Store, search for “Pair Savvy” then download for free (available soon).

Better yet, Pair Savvy is linked to RealCaliforniaMilk.com so the app will update automatically with no need to download future updated versions.

I am having some friends over Wednesday for a Gold Party and I am really looking forward to going to the store to pick up some wine and pair it with some yummy cheese!

Although this review was done on behalf of One2One Network for Pair Savvy the thoughts and opinions are strictly mine.

BrytonPick - Floss In Seconds Review

I was very excited to be given the opportunity through Tomoson to review BrytonPick - Floss in Seconds which is an interdental cleaner and an alternative to flossing.  It utilizes a germ-resistant stainless steel cleaning strip that is reusable up to 30 days.  One of the many benefits of BrytonPick is that it is supposed to be very advantageous for those who wear braces.  Having worn braces for years and now have permanent retainers I was eager to try these since regular flossing is very laborious with the retainers.

I have to admit that, although I did have a little difficulty with getting it between some of my teeth, I was very pleased with the performance!  And, although the BrytonPick did not go all the way through my teeth below my permanent retainer, it did fit between my teeth which I felt was great to slide it down between my teeth down to my gum line.

I am not so sure about it lasting for 30 days though.  I think it depends on your teeth and how tightly they fit together.  Some of my teeth are a pretty tight fit so the steel part of it did get rather beat up after just one use.

The BrytonPick comes in a variety of colors, is discreet, comes in a handy little pouch so you can keep it in your purse - or even your wallet, and is easy to use.  The directions are easy to follow.  The pick is boom-a-rang shaped so there is a great natural curve to use it in your mouth in the front and sides.

I would definitely recommend the BrytonPick as alternative to dental floss not only for its effectiveness but also for its discreetness and reusability.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com and the Tomoson weekly featured sponsor Favorite Wigs - Shop Name Brand Wigs at Low Prices! Large Wig Selection of Forever Young Wigs, and other Quality Wigs. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255 Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. "Community" Christmas Episode Review

I must admit I have never seen or even heard of the series "Community" before tonight. I was allowed the privilege to preview a special Christmas episode of the show that was done entirely in stop motion animation. I thoroughly enjoyed "Community" and feel that I really need to start watching this series! The Christmas episode will air on Thursday, December 9th at 8 pm EST/7 pm CST on NBC.  I would definitely make a point to watch this show!

About The Episode

When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed's mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed's winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed’s madness. Chevy Chase, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, and Ken Jeong also star.

Here is a little snippet of the episode to peak your curiosity if you have yet to watch "Community" or if you are a fan ... here is a teaser!

Book Review - Adopted Ed

I am pleased to have been chosen by the One2One Network to review Adopted Ed by Darren Maddern.  Although none of our children are adopted, our twins were conceived using donor eggs...so at some point an explanation will be necessary.  This book review is in celebration of November's National Adoption Month

Adopted Ed is a simple, and beautifully written children's book with many powerful messages on social pressure and acceptance.

It is based on a little boy named Eddie who is just like every other little boy until some bullies started teasing him about being adopted.  Eddie then talks to his mom about what is being said and she in turn offers words of wisdom and very simple advise which then allows him to deal with the situation and give him the self-confidence he needs.

Small Living Space With a Big Stink From A Cat?

This is an issue we had dealt with for several years.  We first lived in an apartment about 8 years ago and had 2 cats and then moved in to a house.  We have a smallish house - no basement and 1 1/2 floors.  We now have one cat but because we do have the litter box in our living space (upstairs bathroom) the smell can be really obnoxious.

We've always cleaned the box out as soon as it was messy but we didn't run the bag out after each cleaning.  It's just not real practical...plus with kids we are usually trying to hurry and get it done before breaking up the next battle between the kids!  I looked for a long time for something that would be helpful with odor elimination and then found the Petmate.

The Petmate Litter Locker is wonderful!  :)  It's sort of like the Diaper Genie for cats!  The Petmate is a plastic container about 2 feet high, 6 inches wide and 2 feet long...eyeballing not sure if that is exact!  Here is what it looks like:

Under the lid is a refillable bag - so you scoop open the lid, put the waste in and then turn the handle.  No smell!  The refill lasts about a month for one cat and it costs approximately $12.00.  Well worth the expense.

I would recommend this unit to anyone who has a small house, apartment or condo who wants to ensure the stink stays where it's supposed to!
